EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an interactive psychotherapy technique that helps people overcome emotional distress associated with disturbing life experiences.
EMDR involves briefly recalling a traumatic memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically making side-to-side eye movements) which is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the memories.
EMDR was initially used to help individuals overcome trauma and PTSD but is now used to treat a variety of mental health issues. I use EMDR as part of my Hypnotherapy and Mindfulness approach to help clients overcome a wide range of issues such as:
-
Depression
-
Mild Trauma
-
Relationship difficulties
-
Exam Performance
-
Panic Attacks
