Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an interactive psychotherapy technique that helps people overcome emotional distress associated with disturbing life experiences.
Eye Movement and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR involves briefly recalling a traumatic memory whilst simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically making side-to-side eye movements) which is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the memories.
I use EMDR as part of my Hypnotherapy and Mindfulness approach to help clients overcome:
