Discover Mindfulness is an Experiential Workshop offering an Introduction to Mindfulness Practice
History of Mindfulness
Tools/Strategies to help manage Stress and Anxiety
"Stress is the trash of modern life - we all generate it, but if you don't dispose of it properly, it will pile up and overtake your life" - Danzae Pace
We live in a fast moving world where time is short and the pressures and demands of daily life can be overwhelming leaving us feeling unable to cope, stressed and anxious with 'not enough time in the day'.
Join us to change the buzzword from 'busy' to just 'being'!
One of the core aims of Mindfulness-Based Therapies is to learn how to step out of the mind's 'driven/doing mode' that is so preoccupied with 'multitasking' and 'busyness' creating stress and anxiety, into the 'being mode' of the mind - a less goal orientated state, where we are able to step away from the unhelpful thinking patterns that can hold us back from living a happy, calm and fulfilling life.

"I attended Alex’s Mindfulness workshop in December 2019. It came at a good point in my life, when I was aware that I needed to address my anxiety, and I felt strongly that mindfulness was a good place to start. The workshop was nicely constructed, with a good balance of well-presented, interesting and relevant information and some time for us all to have a go at some mindful meditation as a group (a body scan). Alex is immediately likeable, calm, knowledgable and reassuring and delivered the workshop well. We left with some written tips on how to incorporate mindfulness into everyday life and also some access to some audible meditations. I learnt a lot from this 2 hour workshop, as did my husband (initially a reluctant attendee) and we continue to use the tools and information we gained. Thank you Alex!"

What a wonderful experience it's been the Discover mindfulness Workshop! Although l was not completely new to the practice and the theories behind mindfulness participating it's been very beneficial for me. I particularly appreciated Alex's approach, a mix of theories and practical tips to break down each aspect of what a daily mindfulness practice should look like. A down-to-earth attitude with a few laughters along the way that made everyone feel welcome and empowered to give it a go. Highly recommended!"

"A really well presented, paced & thought through workshop. The meditation & mindfulness concepts were approached with some good humour & in an easy going fashion. I went away feeling much better & positive about changing how I perceive issues in my life."
